Monopoly

Here's a short one. This is obviously a Monopoly game for the 360. Unlike some other Monopoly video games, this one is all about the board game. It is literally a computerized version of the board game.

Unfortunately, the little Monopoly guy insists on talking about basic things. He has about 2 phrases he can say and he says them about 100 times every turn. He becomes very annoying and there's no way to turn him off.

You also can't skip or turn off tutorials, so you get to sit through them for every single game.

As far as Monopoly games go? Pass.

Fable 3

Fable 3, the latest invention by Peter Molyneux, that loveable UK guy who loves to make grandiose claims about his games and never follow up on them. Is it any good?

The best way that I can describe Fable 3 is by comparing it to Fable 2. Fable 3 has better gameplay, graphics and story than Fable 2, but it's also about 20 hours shorter. Fable 3 is a 15 hour long game, tops.. and I found that to be very disappointing. Also, they unfortunately used a lot of the music from Fable 2, so if you're not tired of it by now, prepare to be.

However, Fable 3 does fix a lot of problems that Fable 2 had. Multiplayer doesn't suck anymore, and the targeting works a lot better. If you're going to choose between Fable 2 and Fable 3, pick Fable 3.

Modern Warfare 2

Do you remember the controversy with Modern Warfare 2? No? Well, during one of the missions in this game, you play as a CIA agent who has infiltrated a terrorist cell who is machine gunning people in the Moscow airport. During this level, you can machine gun helpess, unarmed civilians. Some people found it offensive.

Well, I personally didn't find it offensive, however, I found the story quite ridiculous and very unattractive. There's a betrayal at the end of every level. Betrayal, betrayal, betrayal. In between the betrayal, you're running around, shooting people with different guns that all work more or less the same. All the pistols? the same. Machine guns? the sams. Assault rifles? the same.

Modern Warfare 2 is a good buy if you're really into shooting terrorists.. again. Otherwise, steer clear.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II

You know, you pretty much know what you're getting here. This game is exactly the same as Force Unleashed 1. They made a big deal about improving the game this time around, but they did absolutely nothing to improve it. It is exactly and 100% the same in every way.

Sadly, this game is even shorter than the original. It has 3 missions. Yeah, that's right. Only 3 missions. You can beat this game in about 3 hours.. less if the bad camera angles and poorly designed levels don't keep killing you.

If you like Star Wars, rent it. Otherwise, stay away from this game.
