Azhur fell under the power of Mordread the Lich and was sent to kill Rhysart the Hermit. Azhur betrayed Mordread and helped Rhysart obtain the Potion of Purity, which treated the Bolt of Purity that eventually was used by Rhysart to kill Mordread. Mordread killed him for his betrayal.
