Emperor of Britannia
Submitted Thursday, December 18, 2003 - 12:38:35 PM by Nick Seafort

Nick SeafortFrom that rascally Redlow:

Hail Citizens,

I come to you with grave news. As you all know, I was declared future Emperor of Britannia by Lord British just a few days ago. But in case you did not know of this news, here is a brief excerpt from the letter he hand-delivered to me:

"My bestest of friends, Redlowwinski, long time companion and the one who personally saved my life from Mondain himself, in my forthcoming abscense (ooc: is that how you spell that? oh well), I am declaring you Emperor of Britannia. Lore shall still serve as King, but will be your immediate underling.

Yours,
Lord British"

As I said, I have grave news indeed. Lord British's mental health has failed him. In light of this, I am assuming the position of Emperor, effective immediately.

As my first decree, you will address my as Your Great and All-Powerful Master.

Also, I have another letter from Lord Blackthorne before he died stating that he too agrees I should be Emperor, in case any of you followed him. Actually, come to think of it, I have a lot of letters backing up my claims. You can't see them though. I'm not supposed to show you. Oh, and a letter here somewhere from Dawn, who many thought was to be our next leader. She says I'm Emperor too. Don't question my authority; my followers (ooc: and no, they're not just other characters of mine!!) back me up as well.

The faithful servant of Britannia,
Emperor Redlowwinski the First

The Traitor Speaks
Submitted Tuesday, December 16, 2003 - 3:36:51 PM by Nick Seafort

Nick SeafortThe following was sent to me by Lore Denin, and has not been modified in any way:

An Announcement from Lord Denin, Lord of Britannia [The Kingdom of Lore]

Britannia, I stand before you, Lord Denin, the last King of Britannia. My tale is a complicated one. I have been sent by the Time Lord to prevent the ultimate destruction of the Universe should Lord British falter in his Quest. "In Lor Des Sanct" I am the light sent into darkness to unravel the Gem of Immortality’s Curse; A curse must be undone.

All Britannia stands on the edge of disaster. Lord British has not only forsaken his Quest to Unite the Shards, but now works to prevent any such a union from being possible.

Citizens of Britannia it is with hope and great sadness that I seek your aid in these dark times. Lord British will attempt to remove the shards from this land, when the time comes you must rise to stop him. For your fate and the fates of all Britannians hang in the balance.

For my words and beliefs The High Council of Britannia has deemed me a criminal and likewise any who support me. I seek not to conquer lands or people, but preserve the Quest of Unity which the Time Lord gave to Lord British. The window of hope for that Quest is quickly closing and we must find away to keep it open. Lord British has ever been a good and virtuous man and his new course saddens me greatly. I have served in his name all my years in this land. In opposition, I serve him still; he and all people of the many Britannia’s.

To the High Council, I urge an end to hostilities between my supporters and the Armies of Britannia. I have no desire to enforce my rule on those who reject the ideals of Unity, but I shall protect those who have come to understand the truth of our existence. To those who have pledged fealty to me, I shall serve as King and will uphold my pledge to protect the future of Britannia.

The One Principle from which Virtue is derived, Infinity, is in jeopardy. The Time Lord sought the Union of Shards to ensure time would extent infinitely. The curse of the Gem and the creation of the Multiverse have placed the True Universe in grave peril. Time which was to span throughout through infinity has become finite through the Gem’s hold. A weakness in the link of time that will lead to the end of all worlds. Not the true universe, nor any reflection shall survive, for a shadow can not exist when the hand is removed from the flame.

The course Lord British has chosen is against the very core from which the Virtues derive. In his grief for the loss of his friend Blackthorn, the King has lost his way.

People of Britannia you must stand and light the path! Lord British seeks his Philosophical counter point, you must rise to be that before he dooms all lands and people to the coming darkness.

May Virtue light the darkened Path

Till All Are One

Order of the Paladin (O^P)
Submitted Monday, December 15, 2003 - 10:09:05 AM by Nick Seafort

Nick Seafort(updated by Elijah Cross)

The Order of the Paladin (O^P) is seeking Paladins throughout the Realm to join its Virtuous Ranks. Only those with the most Virtuous of Spirits will be considered for the Order. The Order of the Paladin has recently been accepted into the Britannian Armed Forces, and will aid Britannia against the evil forces that oppose her. If you have the courage to stand for virtue against all odds then the Order of the Paladin seeks you.

For more information contact the Head and Founder of the Order, Lord Elijah Cross by pigeon: 89611595
Or visit The Order’s Ethereal Meeting Hall (Forum) at: http://pub44.ezboard.com/fqfbfrm45

-William Felspur, Herald of the Order (O^P)

CharterThe Order of the Paladin (O^P)

The Order of the Paladin was created for two purposes:
1. To uphold and instill the Virtues.
2. To serve and protect our King and the citizens of Britannia against any odds.

Structure

O^P derives its structure directly from the Virtues themselves. There are to be eleven core members:

-The first three will make up the Principles (Truth, Love and Courage). These, in essence, will be the leaders of the Order.

-The remaining eight will be made up of the Virtues (Compassion, Honesty, Honor, Humility, Justice, Sacrifice, Spirituality and Valor). Each of the members will be Captains having no more than two paladins serving under each one of them. As each Virtue has its own city, the corresponding Captains will be responsible for their own city. This would entail the upholding and instilling of the Virtues, protection of innocents and removal of evil from the premises. Though they are solely responsible for their home city, they may still call for aid from Captains of other cities.

-The three members representing the Principles, from which all of the Virtues are derived, will work together with one another, for there must be a balance. In the event of a dispute or something of a like nature, it is to be taken to the member who represents the Principle of Truth.

Walk of Unity
Submitted Sunday, December 14, 2003 - 10:11:38 AM by Nick Seafort

Nick Seafortfrom Lore Denin:

Event: The Walk of Unity
Day: Monday Dec 15th
Time: 7:00 - 8:00 CST
Location: Skara Brae Fairgrounds, Trammel
-Special: Those who join the march will be given Candles, Robes and Books about the Shardal Union.
Description: The Walk of Unity is a political March which will start from the Skara Brae Fairgrounds and end in front of Lord British's Castle in the Trammel Facet.
The Walk is peaceful demonstration to remind our King of his pledge of uniting the Shards which he made to the Timelord shortly after the fall of Mondain.
Those who join the march will be as a mirror; the reflection of Lord British's beliefs of old while at the same time acting as the philosophical counterpoint to his new found belief in individuality over the greater good. It is our hope that our words reach the King as they echo in the courtyard outside his Castle chambers. May we the candles we carry light the way and our voices find Lord British's heart that he will remember the truth of our world, this shadowy existence and once again seek the Union of Shards.
May Virtue Light the Darkened Path, Till All Are One,

Submitted Tuesday, December 9, 2003 - 11:44:26 AM by Nick Seafort

Nick SeafortThe Royal Oaks Tavern will be open for all Role Players and Role Play guilds every Wednesday night from 9pm Eastern until the last patron leaves.

We in Newcastle encourage all Role Players on the Great Lakes shard to come and enjoy food and drink with people whose main purpose in the game is to have fun with one another. We will be organizing events and contests in the future.

The Royal Oaks Tavern is a Non-War zone, so all guilds, good, Evil or Neutral are welcome to come. We want to make the Tavern fun for all so we ask that there be no fighting inside or within one screen of the Tavern. If you are a griefer you will be banned from the tavern for a month. The second offense you will be permanently banned.

If any guild GM's want to use the Tavern for any events contact any of the Royal Oaks barkeeps, the Royal Oaks Manager, any Newcastle City Council Member or the Mayor. A fee will be asked for the services we will provide and all food an beverage. We can cater to any of your guilds needs. Events could include, guild meetings, seminars, training days, banquets, marriages, etc.

If anyone wants to apply for a position on the Royal Oaks Staff contact any Member of the NCT. We need all the help we can get.

PS - I apologize for adjourning the last meeting with so little accomplished, but I, and many others present, were experiencing serious lag and disconnects due to the connectivitiy issues OSI was experiencing with the Central and East Coast shards (which are all on the East Coast), and it seemed pointless to try to continue being unable to hear or react to most things.

In Hope is There No Peace?

Ra'Dian Fl'GithTrammel and Felucca both shine in the night sky above, one waxing, one waning. Ra'Dian Fl'Gith pulled his verite cloak about him tightly as a breeze blew through the streets. The sound of his sandals brushing over the cobblestone streets as he walked toward the home he had come to know for many such moons was but an echo in the back of his mind, for the eve's events rested heavily upon his shoulders.

Suddenly he stopped, something tugging at the back of his mind. Before him, two castles loomed over the roofs of the city, and he found himself grinning at the irony. Indeed, Lore and he had spoken of that very irony only minutes before... that perhaps they were picking up where Lord British and Lord Blackthorn left off. Only time would tell who was who in the conflict before them.
